    I think this is Shengani area, it is beautiful picture, looking this pictures i feel like crying.

    My family was living this area from generations they were Arab immigrants from Southern Europe, Spain and Portugal.

    this is exactly without any doubt the ” kawaanka malaayga – fish market, the somalis call it the slaughter house of the fish” corner, the sea in front of you is called “Geel-laq” meaning the swalower of the camel, this is exactly where i born in the Aw aweyska little penunsula where the mosque within in the sea is. this is where mogadishu started the first nucelus when ibnu batuta landed.

    This is exactally what it was called ( Bar Estaro Or Bar Munishimbio) in front of ex Post office in hamar weyne.And also you can see the mosque of Haji Ali. stiauted on jamasha Arbbo Husseinka.

    Look very carefully the photo, it shows you the upper part of the (Mercato di Pesce}, that I have mebtione before.
